Serbia: President DLR In visit to schools in Valjevo

PRESIDENT OF DLR JOVAN DAMJANOVIC WITH MEMBERS OF PRESIDENCY IN VISIT TO PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN VALJEVO

30/05/2011 – Deputy in the Parliament and president of the “Democratic left of Roma” Jovan Damjanovic visited in Valjevo with members of Party’s Presidency primary schools “Grabovica” that is attended by 96 Roma pupils and primary school “Sestre Ilic-Tesnjar” attended by 60 Roma pupils.

In agreement with representatives of mentioned schools has been aged that for sake of better achievement of results of children in education work of pedagogy assistants with support from the psychology’s and pedagogy’s services of mentioned schools should be improved, and that Roma assistants should get mentors.

In addition, in form of mutual cooperation with above mentioned schools, Ivan Mikitin – project leader of “Education for all” ahead of EU and Danijela Pantic – expert for medias and communications were in visit to these schools.

After visiting Roma pupils in these 2 schools, mayor of Valjevo Zoran Jakovljevic received delegation with Jovan Damjanovic on a head, together with Roma pedagogic assistants, where they informed mayor about program of project’s realization. Mayor of Valjevo gave an absolute support to this project so that Roma children would educate quality enough with support of Roma assistants, because that offered good results in a previous period of program’s realization.
