Zbogar visits northern Mitrovica

Mitrovica, 08/03/2012 – European Union Special Representative and head of the EU Office in Kosovo, Samuel Zbogar has visited the remaining families of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptians in Osterode camp in northern Mitrovica.

Zbogar was informed “about the difficulties the RAE community is facing, who at the same time expressed him their gratitude for the assistance they receive from the European Union”, official communiqué says. Seventeen families remaining in the camp is expected to move to Roma neighborhood in southern Mitrovica. European officials on Wednesday also met the Rector of the University of Mitrovica, Zdravko Vitosheviq, with whom he discussed cooperation opportunities.
